Textile Engineering and Technology deals with the study of various aspects of textiles from Fibre manufacturing, Spinning, Weaving, Textile Processing including sizing, desizing, scouring, bleaching, mercerizing, dyeing printing and finishing which are application oriented process. It also includes garment manufacturing, processing and Fashion designing and technology. Apart from traditional apparel textiles, this branch of technology has also in various other fields such as industrial textiles, agrotextiles, protective textiles, sporttextiles, mobiletextiles, etc. The disciple involves extensive study of chemical and physical principles, which is then utilized for the detailed study and analysis of the behavior of polymers involved in the formation of textile fiber. Apart from the above mentioned, there is also branches such as textile chemicals and textile machineries.

It is said that 'as long as child is born naked there is always scope for textiles'. Textile graduation ensures a bright and non-recessional carrier of the students as neither demand nor the supply of the textiles is ever going to be defoliated.
